Burot Beach.....the unspoilt beach!

Burot Beach is a remote beach in Calatagan, a small municipality in Batangas. What I've heard about the place was that, this beach, which was located in the shores of Calatagan was owned by the Elizaldes, one of the riches family in the Philippines. The beach was then called the Elizalde Beach, but it was recently bought by the SM Group of Companies. It is still open for public and is about 30 minutes drive from the Calatagan town proper (about 3.1 km). The beach is still undeveloped, no hotels or resorts, no bars or stores but you can camp or stay overnight in the tent. The place is quiet with 24-hour security. We have seen at least four security guards with the SM security guard's uniforms during our visit there.

Cottages and rooms are not available in the area but you can bring your own tents or rent tents, if you want to stay overnight. There are also nipa huts in the shore which  accommodates 6-8 persons for rental. However, there is no electricity in Burot Beach but there are bonfire woods for sale  to light up your night. Two public toilets and two shower rooms with slow flowing faucet are available in the area. We didn't even showered nor visited the toilets during our day tour because we just stayed there for 3 hours and in addition to that, we live in a nearby town. There are also picnic tables for rental (200 pesos) and floating cottages for 1 500 pesos. Entrance fee is 65 pesos/person for a day tour and 130 pesos/person for overnight stay.

But the most amazing about this place are the sunrise and the sunset. We waited for the sunset before we went home during our visit there.....and we're not dissappointed. Please take a look.
